Morgan Conservation District Partners
Morgan Conservation District is located in the USDA Service Center and is housed with the Fort Morgan NRCS. The district partners with the NRCS by helping to carry out seed and seedling orders, process grant requests, and sponsor and support educational workshops and local work group meetings.
NRCS is reponsible for supporting the EQIP program. The Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP) provides financial and technical assistance to agricultural producers in order to address natural resource concerns and deliver environmental benefits such as improved water and air quality, conserved ground and surface water, reduced soil erosion and sedimentation or improved or created wildlife habitat.
FSA is responsible for many USDA programs, including the Continuous CRP program. CRP is a voluntary program that contracts with the agricultural producers to ensure environmentally sensitive agricultural land is not farmed or ranched, but instead used for conservation benefits. CRP participants establish long-term, resource-conserving plant species, such as approved grasses or trees to control soil erosion, improve water quality and develop wildlife habitat.
The Morgan Conservation District assists producers by offering low cost grass seed and tree seedlings included in their plans. NRCS supports FSA by helping individuals plan and manage CRP contracts.

Morgan County Pheasants Forever is dedicated to the conservation of pheasants, quail and other wildlife through habitat improvements, public awareness, education and land management policies and programs.
The Morgan Conservation District partners with Morgan County Pheasants Forever and Colorado Parks and Wildlife to facilitate the Walk-In-Hunting Program. The district serves as the program director by handling the contracts and payments. Pheasants supports the district with tree sales and offers up the use of its equipment to those interested in planting.
